A Teddy Bear Cholla (Opuntia bigelovii) grows alongside a Saguaro (Carnegiea gigantea) in the Tucson Mountains. Even though it appears that the Cholla has a fuzzy texture, the plant is armed with some of the most fierce spines in the desert.
